Can you tell I love to shoot at Longwood Gardens? I met the B family there last weekend--mom, dad and two beautiful girls who loved exploring the gardens. They found us a cool tree to sit in and these became my favorite shots of the session.
Please contact me to book your session at Longwood--dates are limited!

kids and families!
We raced a bit against the impeding weather for the H family shoot at Poole's Forge--the beautiful day got darker and darker, but we made it before the rain started.
Lots of giggling and laughing from a pair of silly boys!
Laurel is six months!
I've enjoyed photographing Laurel since before she was born and I took her mom's maternity photos at Longwood Gardens. We headed back to Longwood last weekend for Laurel's six month session and what a cutie she is!
She loved sitting in the basket!
and super happy during our almost two hour session!
Laurel is just too cute in the sailor hat...

Seniors, take 1: Nick
Nick was the first of my seniors last weekend..we shot these at his home over the river near York. He's a guitar and volleyball player...I am partial to these guitar shots though! My husband and son play guitar and I *think* we have six guitars and three amps currently in the house...(I could be wrong...there could be more!..)

I wish good luck to Nick in his college career, wherever that takes him!

Grandparents day sessions!
I have a few photos in the newspaper's special Grandparents Day section, in the Sunday News this weekend.
Here's Jayden and his grandma...I met Jayden with his mom on a bitter old 20 degree day for Mother's Day photos, but he didn't shiver or complain one bit that day, and was all smiles. We had an opposite hot morning at a park for his session with his grandma...

Next up was Blanche and her three grandchildren. She has a beautiful property with lots of trees and a little creek.
And then the big extended Martin family!
Covered bridges are fun places to shoot!

day at Bridge Acres Stable
I had a blast at Bridge Acres Stable this weekend..with ten sessions over three days.
My oldest daughter started riding there when she was eight, and we had two horses during our years at BA--Little Bit and Red.
Two weekends ago I got to reconnect with some old friends and meet some of the new riders.

contest winner
Last month I ran a little contest on Facebook to see who could refer the most friends to like my page. Unfortunately, shortly into the contest I realized Facebook had some rules that prohibit contests to gain fans. Although many many many pages still practice this, I decided to be safe I would end the contest, but still honor the person who brought the most "likes" to my page!
Caryl chose to have her four children photographed in Lititz, PA. They were troopers in the heat and we had a great time playing on the train, the railroad tracks, and in the creek.
Caryl's prize package included the one-hour session plus prints--a value of $100! Stay tuned here on the blog for the next contest.

on the road and on location in Massachusetts
Memorial Day weekend saw me on the road to Massachusetts for some special sessions. I grew up in Scituate, MA, in a lovely seaside town with a harbor and a lighthouse that was just right down the street from my house. I had a wonderful time meeting several old friends from high school and meeting their daughters...having a gorgeous photo session in the golden afternoon light... as well as meeting some new friends at Balmy Acres Stable in Middleboro for an all-day session with families, adults, kids, horses, dogs, a bull and even a pet turkey! We were all brought together again through Facebook in a cool way...
This is Angela, the owner, and her family...with their pet turkey who just had to get into the shot!
What I most remember about Ellen back in high school was that she was always laughing! And that hadn't changed one bit
And..we have another thing in common as she has also adopted two girls from China!
Tess and Claire are a "virtual twins" at age 7...but adopted some 4 years apart.
Carly and I hiked way out to the end of the jetty for these shots....I couldn't remember actually doing this 30 years ago let alone climbing over the rocks wearing Birkenstocks and carrying a large camera bag! The photos were totally worth it...
I love this candid moment between Carly and her mom, Beth
I had such a blast shooting at Balmy Acres Stable on Saturday...what a beautiful farm! Gorgeous deep green ferns in the forest and tall meadow grass with wildflowers...made for amazing settings for the horses (and dogs, and turkey!)
Karen and her family, with Spyder, the horse who could even bow on command
One of my favorite shots of the day..Miss Grey...
Maria has two horses as well as these three dogs!
Alyson and her blue-eyed mare Cameo
Rita and Zip...you can just feel the bond between them here, can't you?
Sheila and Reba
and mighty dog, Max. I love this photo--he is definitely smiling for the camera!
Contact me for details on booking a day event at your barn, beach or other location--I am available to travel to many destinations!
